Amazing display of Royal mummies

Only went to see the Royal mummies and it was worth the visit. Great setting almost felt tomb-like. Good description of each mummy, wished I could take photos to share. The rest of the exhibits were good too.

Best introduction to the sweep of Egyptian art

Set in a gorgeous new building, the museum shows amazing objects from the Paleolithic era to modern times. Expect to see Pharaohs and modern kings, Coptic frescoes and Islamic pottery. Labels are engaging and informative. Place was filled with happy Egyptian families and is kid friendly. The sad, unwrapped mummies of ancient times can also be seen here.

We had a great tour, the museum was great and the guide was even better. He also took us to lunch and to a bazaar, which was not a part of the tour but he did it anyway. Mohamed was absolutely wonderful! Amazing guide!

Très beau musée très récent.
La salle où sont rassemblées les momies désormais est remarquable avec un jeu de projection à l’entrée assez bluffant.
Une belle page de l’histoire complète de l’Egypte par époques.
De très beaux objets et tenues à découvrir

Espaço amplo, limpo, moderno, organizado, bem sinalizado e muito bonito. Boa curadoria do museu com peças muito representativas e impactantes. Ponto alto é o setor das múmias dos Reis e Rainhas.
