What To Expect

Pyramids of Giza
Whether you stay in Cairo or Giza itself, your guide who greet you at the hotel and transfer to the pyramids. See the three famous pyramids, touch them while your guide tells you all about them. You will have free time to take pictures and rest. There are three known chambers inside the Great Pyramid. The lowest chamber is cut into the bedrock upon which the pyramid was built and was unfinished. The Queen's Chamber and King's Chamber are higher up within the pyramid structure. The main part of the Giza complex is a setting of buildings that included 2 mortuary temples in honor of Khufu, 3 smaller pyramids for Khufu's wives, an even smaller "satellite" pyramid, a raised causeway connecting the two temples, and small mastaba tombs surrounding the pyramid for nobles. Then, you will be transferred to the area with a panoramic view of all the pyramids and you will be able to start your adventure with a camel ride around the area.

Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids
Later, you will be transferred to Saqqara. Explore Saqqara with your Egyptologist tour guide. It features numerous pyramids, including the world famous Step pyramid of Djoser, sometimes referred to as the Step Tomb due to its rectangular base, as well as a number of mastabas. Djoser's step pyramid was built during the Third Dynasty. Another 16 Egyptian kings built pyramids at Sakkara, which are now in various states of preservation or dilapidation. High officials added private funeral monuments to this necropolis during the entire pharaonic period. It remained an important complex for non-royal burials and cult ceremonies for more than 3,000 years. You will enjoy the lively scenes in the tomb of Kagemni and the Pyramid Texts inside the Pyramid of Teti.

Then, you will be transferred back to you hotel.

Best guided tour we have ever had

Our tour with Amir was amazing! He is extremely knowledgeable in Egyptian facts, and was so fun to learn from. He took the time to answer any questions we had and asked us what we would like to see when heading out to the shopping areas. I highly recommend the papyrus demonstration, you are not pressured to buy anything but the artwork is incredible and we left with a few pieces.

I cannot recall our driver's name but he was also amazing- we felt extremely safe the entire time and he was always right there when we left an area ready to take us to the next.

If you are looking for the perfect guide for your Pyramids and Cairo tour along with having all of your photography needs met on tour, look no further, Amir knows all the tricks and will get all the pictures you crave.
Outstanding guide and a fun, worry-free day

Ahmed was the ideal guide. It's obvious he's plugged into the pyramid 'scene' and knows everyone in both Giza and Saqqara. Everything was taken care of -- transport, tickets, lunch, camels (camels!), tipping advice, chats with security/police -- leaving us able to sit back and just soak it all in. Having studied Egyptology in depth, he's knowledgeable about Egyptian history and cheerfully gave us a proper sit-down lecture and answered any questions we had as we explored the various tombs. My friends had a one-year-old baby but Ahmed was again cheerful and attentive, and our kind driver was extra-careful to avoid bumps and swerves on the road. Ahmed also made sure we didn't miss any of the best photo opps - including several he took with his own phone and sent us later. Optional visit to a 'Papyrus Institute' where you get an information demonstration and are of course expected to buy...but that's par for the course. All in all a terrific day.
Good tour

It’s a you get what you pay for, it was a superb value and very efficient , guide was good and for most would be even excellent. I needed a ride to saq. = So for me anything else was bonus, I asked to skip lunch but it was offered many time with many options to me very respectfully but I wanted to take rest instead after the pyramid. I also skipped camel ride but did a photo with tip, tourist camel price is 300 egp so if you do is a steal already so tip very well !! Guide knows a lot, I would say for 90% -95% of visitors it’s much more than enough information and a true Egyptology visitor would be enjoying conversing. Guide knows best photo stops, also keeps harassment at bay, very respectful. Driver was 10/10 , waiting for me 15 min before start time with uniformed tshirt, safe and fast , no detours no shops no nonsense. Would use again. Booked via trip advisor / Viator.
Also tip driver and guide, the driver minimized walking so I was able to see all sites within 4 hours - example drove me to panoramic and then to Sphinx and circled car so I would not have to walk back.
