Tomb of Ramses III
The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

Tomb of Ramases IX
Tomb of King Ramesses lX was the third pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. His name prior to assuming the crown was Amonhirkhopshef. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

Awesome time in Luxor!

Two persons to compliment for this day trip:
- Pre-Tour: Speaking, via email, to the in-charge Ragab was a bliss. He reassures and made all back end work possible. He is a tourism professional.
- During-Tour: Tour guide Khalid knows local people, the shortcuts, the fine spots and good history of Luxor. We had a fine introduction of Luxor.

Overall, this is the simplest tour - pick up at Cairo and let the rest of the team do the rest.
Great Day In Luxor

We were picked up from our hotel in Cairo and taken to the airport very easily. We were greeted upon our landing by our Egyptologist Khalid and driver Hassan. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. Khalid is an incredible source of knowledge not just for ancient Egyptian history, but also answered any questions we had about life in Egypt now. He also allowed ample time for photos and meals, and even had suggestions for what to do after the ruins (we had a late flight back to Cairo) and even booked it for us. Overall a fantastic day.
Possibly the best day tour I have undertaken globally, in over a decade of travel...a must

Having a day to spare on a recent business trip in Egypt, I found Luxor Travels on Trip Advisor and found his ratings and general feedback from his customers to be extremely positive. I contacted Ragab via trip advisor and he organised everything from start to finish. The day was expertly planned out and was without doubt an incredible experience.

Ragab organised all flights for me down to Luxor and return and a driver picked me up as I exited the airport terminal in Luxor. I was then met by Ragab who has a wealth of knowledge and professionally provided a unique insight into the incredible sights and history in Luxor.

The Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon, Karnak, Luxor Temple, Deir El-Bahari and the nile journey were some of the memorable sites. Additionaly, the lunch stop overlooking the nile was superb with great hospitality and food.
I wouldn't hesitate in fully recommending Ragab to plan your Luxor or Cairo bound tours. Don't hesitate to contact Ragab as he replies immediately and his entire package is extremely professional and more importantly, very SAFE!

Fully recommended and don't look any further...
Great day in Luxor!

We had an amazing time in Luxor and got to see so many sights in such a short day. There are many opportunities to explore other sights if you desire, the personalization was very nice. Our guide was Khalid Eltayeb, he was so knowledgeable (he has his masters in Egyptology) and I can say I learned a lot from him on our trip. Our driver Hassan was very kind and got us wherever we needed to go in the most comfortable ride! Overall this was a great experience that I would definitely recommend to others.
Amazing trip to Luxor!!

We had a limited amount of time in Egypt but booked this trip wanting to maximize the amount of sites we would see! Though it was a very early wake up to fly to Luxor, it was so worth it! We had a day filled with temples, tombs, a Nile river ride, and amazing Egyptian food. Even more impressive than the sites themselves was our guide, Khalid Eltayab, who was so knowledgeable about everything we saw! He also catered the tour to our needs and allowed us the opportunity to do more sight seeing. Not to mention, he took great pictures for us and made great recommendations about which tombs to go in (our tickets allowed us 3 tombs)!! The vehicle we traveled in throughout the day was also clean, air conditioned (which was needed!!), had WiFi, and was stocked with cold waters! The driver, Hassan was also great! Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone hoping to explore the many amazing sites of Egypt with a limited amount of time! Also try to recommend Khalid if you can!! He made it a day to remember!! Cannot wait to come back and spend more time here in the future!
