Sakkara , is a vast, ancient burial ground in Egypt, serving as the necropolis for the Ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis. Saqqara features numerous pyramids, including the world-famous Step pyramid of Djoser, sometimes referred to as the Step Tomb due to its rectangular base, as well as a number of mastabas (Arabic word meaning 'bench'). Located some 30 km (19 mi) south of modern-day Cairo, Saqqara covers an area of around 7 by 1.5 km (4.35 by 0.93 mi).

Pyramids of Dahshour

The Dahshur pyramids were an extremely important learning experience for the Egyptians. It provided them with the knowledge and know-how to transition from step-sided pyramids to smooth-sided pyramids. Ultimately their breadth of experience would allow them to build the Great Pyramid of Giza; the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing to this date.
The first of the Dahshur pyramids was the Bent Pyramid built under the rule of King Sneferu, the Bent Pyramid was the first attempt at building a smooth sided pyramid, but proved to be an unsuccessful build due to the miscalculations made on the structural weight that was being placed onto the soft ground (sand, gravel, and clay) which had a tendency to subside. Other calculations that were proven to be erroneous were that the blocks being used were cut in such a manner that when placed onto the pyramid their weight was not distributed appropriately, causing the angle of the pyramid to be off and

Ayman was an amazing guide and Said was an amazing driver. The entire experience felt enjoyable, safe, comfortable, and incredibly interesting. Everything was very professional and well organized. We went in the middle of August so it was very hot, but they provided us with cold water and an air conditioned vehicle which helped a ton. Also the lunch afterwards was delicious and we really enjoyed the entire experience. For anyone looking to explore the monuments of Egypt, I highly recommend these guys, they were the best.

Great day across the pyramids

We really had a great day with Issam, our guide, who was always encline to please us. The driver was excellent too. The explanations given on the history of each site were very precised and very clear. In addition he gave us advices to make our travel in Egypt a memorable time. We have learn a lot on antic Egyptian civilisation such as hieroglyphs for example.

Best experience ever! We have travelled all over the world , but our guide Sayed Mahmoud was so far the best we have had. He was kind, patient , extremely well knowledgeable, friendly and professional, and made our experience unforgettable. He showed and told us all we wanted to know and see , and even more. Our driver Ahmed Payomy was also so wonderful. Ahmed was a gentleman , very professional and kind. Couldn’t have asked for a better team to take care of us during our first trip and tour in the beginning of our Egypt trip.

Both were very professional, prompt and courteous, and Sayed was knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive to detail. As a first-time visitor to Cairo I greatly appreciated having them show me around, particularly the confusing streets and far-flung destinations.
