Sufi whirling (or Sufi spinning), is a form of physical meditation that was originated among Sufis and is still practiced by the Sufi Dervishes. Sufi whirling is a customary dance performed within the worship ceremony, through which dervishes aim to reach the source of all perfection.
By listening to the music, focusing on God, and spinning in repetitive circles, which has been seen as a symbolic imitation of planets in the Solar System orbiting the sun.

Enjoy an amazing night at Al Tanoura Egyptian Dance Troupe at Cairo which considered the most amazing Egyptian traditional musical nights, Wekalet El Ghoury, is an architecturally Arts Center. During the Mamluk era, Wekalet El Ghouri was a trading center and a residence for the merchants and their families. the Tanoura show which takes place at Wekalet El Ghoury built-in 1504 A.D during the reign of Mamelukes. Tannoura show is the most amazing Egyptian Folk musical night, it’s performed by ‘El Tanoura Troupe for the Cultural Heritage’; which has given varied performances in over 30 countries. In the beginning, Selections of Folkloric music will be played by local Egyptian musicians, previewing Egypt’s musical heritage. Then comes The Tanoura Dance show and lastly they end it with a very special spiritual Whirling Dervish (Darwish) performing. After the show ends, you will be transferred to your hotel.
